This vinegar has a thick syrupy consistency. It is extremely dense, sweet & complex. This vinegar rivals the taste and consistency of the Tradizionales. Balsamic vinegar is both fruity and acidic and is wonderful on salads or in marinades for meat, fish & poultry. Older Balsamics such as this one are wonderful on various fruits like strawberries or Melons. Balsamic vinegar is produced from grape juice that is concentrated by slow cooking in copper kettles.
