Protein Bean Sprouting is a mix that includes a variety of high protein sprout seeds. It includes Green Pea, Mung Beans, Garbanzo Beans, and Adzuki beans, perfect for a protein packed sprout meal! It is a great source of protein for vegans and vegetarians alike, as beans are great sources to replace the protein which is sourced in meat. In addition to being an excellent source for protein for anybody, regardless or a vegetarian or non-vegetarian diet, they also provide a large helping of fiber and various vitamins. They work perfectly as an addition to soups, salads, oriental dishes, or even just by themselves! This mix will ensure that all protein daily requirements are met. To prepare, soak a quarter cup (1/4) of seeds for 6-8 hours. The mix should be four parts water to every one part seed. After the full time has elapsed, rinse and drain the seeds. In a sprouting container, spread the seeds evenly, and continue to rinse and drain them at least two or three times a day for the first couple days. At the end of the growing period, put them in direct light for no less than 3 but no more than 5 hours at a temperature between 65-75 degrees. When everything is finished, rinse the beans in a large bowl of water, and let the skins float off, helping prevent fermentation.
