A vinegar 'Mother' appears as a spongey, jelly-like mass of vinegar-producing bacteria which is added to beer, wine, cider or other alcohol base and allowed to convert to vinegar. With a healthy culture, you can make an unlimited amount of vinegar in a variety of styles, strengths and flavors. Each sealed jar contains 8oz of vinegar and a piece of the live vinegar mother which can be grown and divided into smaller mothers to make an ever-producing amount of vinegar. Instructions: In a clean 1 gallon jar, combine 24oz of beer and the contents of the jar. Cover with a loose mesh cloth to allow air transference and store at 75F to 80F for 3 to 6 months for complete conversion. Any style of beer can be used.
