How to use this product
* Se the box in 2 layers. On the top layer, add rice bran.
* Place vegetables, such as cucumbers, radishes, turnips and carrots after washing.
* Fermentation time depends on the time of day and season. Usually takes about half day to a full day.
Tips of rice bran pickling
* Lactic acid bacteria and yeast are present to make the pickling successful. It is recommended to mix the rice bran and vegetables at least once a day.
* Rub small amount of salt on the vegetables before placing in the container with bran to retain the natural vegetable color.
* Keep the container in dark and cool place. If your room temperature exceeds over 25℃, move the container to a cooler area (vegetable drawer) in your refrigerator.
* Adding new rice bran to the existing one is recommended for once every 4 to 5 weeks, depending on the amount or condition of the existing rice bran.
* From time to time, you may notice white mold on the surface of the rice bran. This is a type of yeast and is necessary for the rice bran to work properly. It is important to mix it, but mixing too much can affect flavor.
* When you taste too much sourness, add rice bran booster on the market or clean egg shell (remove the thin membrane) which will neutralize the lactic acid bacteria to reduce the sourness.
