Mixtelle is an original creation by Francoise Fleuriet, an extended reduction of prune juice mixed with rosé vinegar, sugar and spices. A versatile ingredient that turns a simple dish into a gourmet specialty. A cook by trade, Françoise wanted to customize her condiments. In 2003 she came up with the idea of creating her own vinegar from the local Pineau des Charentes liqueur wine, an innovative experiment that no one had ever tried before. Her vinegars have won several French awards and have been adopted by French starred-chef for their cuisine. |
