Non-Pareil Capers By Mas Portell
Mas Portell Capers are carefully hand picked between late spring and early summer from the "Capparis Spinosa" plant, which is a wild bush that grows in the Mediterranean regions of Spain. The caper is the blossom bud of this plant and is picked during the months of June, July and August. Capers are preserved in a vinegar and salt brine and are an excellent compliment for many dishes. They are used directly from the jar or rinsed and then eaten as is with dishes such as smoked salmon or used in cooking with preparations for Veal Piccata or Pasta al la Puttanesca. Each jar of Mas Portell Non-Pareil Capers contains net weight of 100gr or 3.5 oz. |
