Lobo Thai Tom Ka Paste 50g. Thai Food.
A delightful cream soup harmonized by the flavour of coconut milk, galangal root, kaffir lime leaves and the heart of lemongrass. Cook gently to prevent the coconut milk from separating. Tom Ka Gai literally translates to boiled galangal chicken. It is a spicy hot sweet soup made with coconut milk, lemongrass and chicken. There are other versions made with either seafood (Tom Ka Talay) or mushroom (Tom Ka Het) too. All follow a similar recipe.
Made from: salt, spices, galangal, lemongrass, vegetable oil, sugar, monosodium glutomate and citric acid.
Recipe Idea: Tom Ka Gai (Coconut Chicken Soup)
Submerge the packet in hot water for 1 minute. Cut open, the paste will come out easily.
1. Boil 1 cup (240 ml) coconut milk. Add 300g chicken together with the contents of this packet. Cook until the chicken is cooked through,
2. Add 2 cups (480ml) of water. Simmer until the chicken is tender.
3. Add one more cup of coconut milk (240ml) and 100g of mushrooms. Bring to the boil and then serve. Add fish sauce and lime juice to taste.
