Uncle Roy's Comestible Concotions are a small family company producing high quality, well presented, very varied ranges of award-winning condiments, salts, seasonings, extracts and nostalgia confectionery that grew out of Uncle Roy's restless nature, his hatred of English Mustard and their award-winning Delicatessen in Moffat in southern Scotland. When Roy sold his deli in 2003, he became a stand-alone manufacturer - with his four original Mild & Mellow Moffat Mustards. Developed because Uncle Roy was fed up with people asking for Dijon Mustard in his award-winning deli, he developed a range of lovely mild mustard you can eat by the spoonful. His wild Scottish Garlic mustard is made simply with water, mustard flour, apple puree, spirit vinegar, sugar, dried ransom (dried buds of the pine tree), salt, wild garlic extract and spices. A Gold Great Taste Winner, this smooth mustard can be eaten by the spoonful, it is great in cooking as well as on the plate, as a dip, in a roll or sandwich. Use with meat, fish, cheese and salad. |
