Sourcing and transportation of raw materials, production, packing, transport and storage of finished products are areas of key importance in maintaining quality. Extreme vigilance is maintained to ensure a total and strict gluten free production environment. The company does not produce any gluten containing products and employs standards as set by the united states food and drug administration, the Canadian food inspection agency and even stricter standards as set by customers such as the large, multinational baby food manufacturers. HACCP certification is expected in the near future. The small family farms that grow our rice practice proper stewardship of the land by showing appropriate care for wildlife and the environment. The cultivation and processing of our pastariso organic rice pasta does not contribute to further degradation of the environment and we go to great lengths to ensure the total process is guaranteed gluten free. We divert over ninety percent of our waste from the landfills by providing all food waste to local farmers and all paper to a local recycler. We have made great strides in reducing energy consumption by investing in efficient equipment and clean burning gas boilers. Future plan includes further use of solar energy.
