Papa's cheese grits come with 12 ounce of our whole grain yellow grits, plus 2-1 ounce real cheddar cheese packets. Our cheese grits are certified organic and are steel cut. Directions: bring 4 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of salt to a rapid boil. Stir in 1 cup yellow grits. Reduce heat, cover stirring occasionally and simmer for at least 25 minutes until creamy. Stir in 1 cheddar cheese packet until thoroughly mix. Enjoy. Short on time. Pour ingredients into a crock pot, cook on low (10 hours) overnight and wake up to creamy, hot grits. What a great way to start the day. Note: it is common for grits to stick to the bottom and sides of the pan. Simply scrape and stir well and there will be no lumps in these grits, folks. For a special treat stir in bacon crumbles, cut up link sausage or crumbled sausage patties, ham, extra cheese, and or scrambled eggs to make a one dish meal.
