This fine medium dencity vinegar is contained in beautiful heavy squat glass bottles with hardwood topped cork stoppers. This vinegar is quite dense, sweet and complex. This is a great middle grade Balsamic that is sweet and dense enough for bread dipping & drizzling, but acidic enough for salads and marinades. Balsamic vinegar is produced from grape juice that is concentrated by slow cooking in copper kettles. This "most" is blended with Red Wine Vinegar and then aged in wood casks. Balsamic vinegar is both fruity and acidic and is wonderful on salads or in marinades for meat, fish & poultry. The PGI seal recognizes Balsamic Vinegar of Modena producers who follow strict guidelines in producing an authentic product.
